ATV Tour

This is a true adventure. Traveling by ATV is the perfect
way to explore and have fun, with a little bit of adrenaline
built in.
During the trip you'll splash through rivers that will allow
you to discover the area's beauty on an all-terrain vehicle.
Private farms and little-known roads will take us to the
towns of Santa Elena, Las Nubes, Cebadilla, Los Toros and La
Cruz before returning to the starting point. All in all,
we'll run about 15 km. This is definitely an impressive
adventure that takes you off road!

Don Juan Coffee Tour
(HALF DAY)
The coffee tour is one more alternative among
Monteverde’s attractions. This is an interesting option in
which we’ll learn everything concerning coffee, as well as
Costa Rican folklore. The Don Juan Coffee Tour is located 2
kilometers from downtown Santa Elena de Monteverde.
The tour takes about 2 hours, leading us 500 meters through
a coffee field over wide, safe paths. Here we’ll gain
knowledge and experiences related to the history,
cultivation and processes of making coffee. We’ll also be
able to participate in picking coffee (during harvest
season) and other processes. Finally, we’ll share a half
hour in the cafeteria for coffee tasting and to purchasing
some coffee-related souvenirs.
We’ll enjoy the jaunt around the beautiful coffee field,
learning about the stages of the bean, such as receiving and
husking the coffee, toasting and packaging, as well as a
large, comfortable building with the coffee and souvenir
shops. We’ll also see traditional Costa Rican elements like
the oxcart, oxen and other decorations.

Horseback ride at Finca El
Rodeo (half day tour)
We`ll enjoy the show rhythm of horseback riding, the
sounds of nature and the beautiful landscape in one of our
country's most visited areas.
This tour begins by transferring from the hotel to a private
property where the area's best horses wait. We`ll begin our
two-hour horseback ride through open fields, coffee and
banana plantations that will be painted by the marvelous
sunsets with impressive views of the Gulf of Nicoya.
Finca El Rodeo is one of the few stables that offer
horseback riding without having to travel along Monteverde`s
streets. They have horses for all experience levels, from
beginners to experienced jockeys.
This is an experience that we won`t want to miss!

Monteverde Cloud Forest
Tour (half day)
At 200 meters above sea level, this world famous cloud
forest reserve will be your scenario for a great hike
through the wonders of the cloud forest while your
naturalist guide will search for the most incredible birds,
including the Resplendent Quetzal.
The park is private biological reserve dedicated to the
conservation of the rare flora and fauna of this unique
ecosystem. The reserve is 26,000 acres and is an important
link in the growing network of protected areas in Costa
Rica. It is open every day from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
throughout the year and offers an excellent guided tour and
slide show. Admire the prehistoric ferns and the trees full
of epiphytes and moss.

Adventures (half day)
The Sky Adventures is an adventure tourism complex where
you can appreciate the nature of the tropical cloud forest

The tour starts with the Sky Tram that is an ideal tour
for people of all ages and suitable for those with
disabilities since it has wheelchair access. You can enjoy
views of the cloud forest, and will lead you up to the
Continental Divide. You are accompanied by knowledgeable
guides, then you enjoy the Sky Trek, system of zip line
ranging from mountain to mountain, which together have a
distance of 2.5 miles of linear cable. The Sky Trek gives
the opportunity to fly through a cable and have a unique
experience of adventures and adrenaline at speeds up to 40
miles per hour with distances ranging up to 2500 feet and
heights of 524 feet, the tour offers 5 observation towers
that exceed the cloud forest treetops providing a panoramic
view, all with total security and in an innovative braking

tours in Monteverde, is a combination of suspension bridges
and platforms built in the cloud forest that offers an
